Dupont Highway
Milford to Dover

This section of DE 1 serves from Delaware's state capitol of Dover and points north, to the Delaware beach resorts and points south.

This section of DE 1 was originally multiplexed with US 113.  However, in late 2003, DelDOT decided to remove the US 113 designation along this stretch of highways, and moved the northern terminus of US 113 from Dover to Milford.

At the time these pictures were taken, DelDOT had not removed any of the US 113 signs along the decomissined portion of the highway.  Since then, all signs and shields have had US 113 removed.

After meeting up with Business DE 1 and US 113 at its northern terminus near Milford, DE 1 continues north toward Dover.

US 113 exited here... and continued north to meet with US 13 in Dover.  That section of US 113 is now known as Bay Road.
