 On
August 17, 2006, I took possession of a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire.
The 1999 Chevy Cavalier I was driving was experiencing several major
mechanical failures, and the 1995 Ford Aspire I also owned had 180K+
miles and was beginning to show it's age. After test driving
a couple of different cars including a Ford Focus and a Honda Civic, I
decided that this particular Sunfire was for me.
Some
basic specifications on my Pontiac Sunfire: 2.2L
Ecotec inline-4 engine, producing 140 horsepower. 4-speed
Automatic Transmission AM/FM stereo with in-dash CD player
6 speaker sound system Full instrument panel with tachometer
0-60 MPH in about 8.5 seconds The
Sunfire will be taking me on many road trips in the future.
And, I am proud to dedicate a small corner of Delmarva
Highways to the newly dedicated Delmarva Highways
Battle Crusier.

  | The
driver controls. The
Sunfire features many
creature comforts, such as air conditioning and a 6-speaker sound
system with CD player. I also have a Delphi SkyFI tuner
installed for my XM radio listening pleasure. |
  | The
Sunfire's power plant. Under the
hood is a fuel
injected General Motors 2.2L Ecotec inline-4, boasting 140
horsepower. It produces quite a bit of torque for it's size,
making it very quick off the line. It also handles very well
at high speeds. |

and a shot of the trunk. |
 | And
just for good measure... the Pontiac emblem. General Motors
would be proud. |
