US 50 / US 301
Queenstown to the Bay Bridge

US 50 meets up with US 301 in Queenstown, and enters a multiplex with it for the remainder of its time on the Delmarva Peninsula.  Also, US 50/US 301 becomes full fledged freeway... taking on an extra lane in both directions.  This is known as the land of the 10 MPH exit ramps... as a tight right of way made for some creative engineering along this route.

This area was completely reconstructed in the late 80s/early 90s... and used to be a 4-lane thoroughfare complete with traffic signals and a drawbridge across the Kent Narrows.  The drawbridge was bypassed when the new bridge and freeway were completed.

Interchange with MD 8... and is the last exit before the Bay Bridge.  This was also the first interchange to be constructed for the US 50/301 freeway through this area.
